Makes ya wanna think.

We have water!

I spent the afternoon crawling under the cabin inspecting heat-tape (all working) and placing 3 more electric heaters in strategic places. Then hauled 25 gallons of water from our kind neighbors using their truck (ours is still chipmunk-shorted).

I just got back from walking 1/4 mile in -26 wind chill after returning their truck. As I came through the gate Margaret greeted me with the happy news that we can shower again. Water started to flow just as I returned.

We are leaving water trickling in one faucet and keeping the cabin extra warm tonight.

Margaret is studying CSS to make the new purty. I am going to shower and then learn the ways of serial numbers and online software registration.

Meanwhile our playtesters continue to work on their ChipWits for the Monday night Contest deadline.

  1. Wow! That’s cold!! Leaving a tap very slightly open is something we used to have to do even in London when I was a kid — I imagine it’s a must in the conditions up there. Is it true that is you spit it freezes with a snap in midair? Can a frozen beard really be snapped off??

Great teaser illustration on GIB, BTW 😉 Nice work!

  2. Margaret’s hand burst into flame after she drew Cthulhu. And then it withered.

    Glad you approve.

Tomorrow we roll out with a new look. Will alert you.

    That is all.
